A false ceiling is a secondary ceiling, hung below the main (structural) ceiling and is a staple of residential and commercial applications. To address fire safety, ceiling tiles made from mineral fibers, plastic, tin, composite, or fire-rated wood panels can be used within the construction to meet acceptable standards/ratings. This invention provided suspended ceiling construction in which access may readily be obtained at any desired location.

An architectural partition is a subdivision of a system representing some commonality of function, content, or placement with the architecture.
